Remediation of the Disco Site <br /> The consultant shall develop a Corrective Action Plan for the Disco site groundwater <br /> contamination near the Del Monte Stockton#33 Plant at 2716 E. Miner Avenue, <br /> Stockton, CA 95213. A leaking gasoline UST caused the contamination. The plume <br /> contains various hydrocarbons associated with gasoline. Upon approval of the <br /> Corrective Action Plan by the San Joaquin County Public Health Service and Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Board,the consultant shall design, construct, and <br /> implement the agreed upon remediation project. After installation,the consultant shall <br /> operate and maintain the system in all aspects. For purposes of this proposal,the <br /> estimated time of the operation and maintenance of the remediation project shall be 5 <br /> years from start-up of the installed solution. If the consultant thinks their remediation <br /> solution can be accomplished in less than 5 years, they should modify the budget <br /> accordingly. <br /> The consultant shall be responsible for all aspects of the project including such things <br /> as permitting,monitoring, sampling,reporting to meet agency requirements, or any <br /> other aspect to meet the needs of the Corrective Action Plan. The consultant should <br /> also budget for meetings with Del Monte and/or the agencies involved during the <br /> proj ect. <br /> Additional information about the status and history of the Disco site is included in <br /> Section III of this RFP to assist in developing a proposal for this work. Also, attached <br /> are previous reports prepared by CH2M Hill characterizing the plume at the Disco site <br /> and providing data from the existing monitoring wells. The current status of the <br /> project is that the extent of the plume has been defined and monitoring wells have <br /> been installed at the edge of the plume and in the aquifer below the contamination. <br /> These wells were completed in December, 2001. Data from four (4) of these newest <br /> wells (referred to as the shallow wells) has been received and is included in the <br /> attachments. Another well installed the week of December 10, 2001 to allow sampling <br />
