k%J KLEINFELDER <br /> File No. 20-2949-13 <br /> November 26, 1990 <br /> and past uses in the project area to assess potential problems (C- <br /> 4) : n <br /> Reference is made to Plate A-1 of this report which shows <br /> the location of the proposed parcel split site. <br /> Currently, the site contains a grape vineyard, and the <br /> surrounding area consists of agricultural and pasture <br /> land with scattered farm houses. <br /> On October 16, 1990, a representative of our firm visited <br /> 3 residences located off Clements Road and Kettleman <br /> Lane. The purpose of our visits was to obtain <br /> information on septic system use and to inquire about any <br /> problems known to exist with this method of sewage <br /> disposal. We were only able to interview one person <br /> (location 2 on Plate A-1) , and she reported no problems <br /> with the performance of her septic system. The age of <br /> the septic system was reported to be approximately 20 <br /> years old. She also indicated that their well produced <br /> "good" quality water. <br /> ITEM C-2 • <br /> "Suitability of soil for development utilizing septic systems. " <br /> On November 14 , 1990, a representative of our firm <br /> drilled and set-up 1 3-foot deep percolation test hole <br /> at each proposed parcel. The test holes were drilled <br /> with hand drilling equipment using a 6-inch diameter <br /> continuous-flight auger. Perforated PVC pipe was <br /> inserted into the test holes to prevent disturbance when <br /> adding water.
