I 1 B. No compensation shall be allowed the CONTRACTOR for changes or additions unless such work and the compensation therefor are covered by prior written authorization from the OWNER. Payments for such work shall be made on one or more of the following bases at the option of the OWNER: I 1 . Lump Sum; 2. Unit Price ; or 3. cost of Work Plus a Contractor 's Fee for Overhead and Profit. } Estimates for Lump Sum work shall give a detailed breakdown of labor, material and equipment. On Cost-Plus work , the CONTRACTOR shall submit for approval daily time , material , and equipment sheets. These sheets shall accompany CONTRACTOR 's invoice for payment. C. When authorized changes to the Work would delay completion of the Contract as a whole , then the time of completion shall be extended for such reasonable time as the OWNER may determine. j ARTICLE 24 -. SUSPENSION OF WORk A. The OWNER may , at any time , suspend the Work , or any part thereof , by giving five (5) days notice in writing to the CONTRACTOR. The Work shall j be resumed by the CONTRACTOR within ten (10) days after the date fixed in a written notice from the OWNER to the CONTRACTOR to proceed. jB. In case of suspension of all or part of the Work , causing additional expense not due to the fault or negligence of the CONTRACTOR , the OWNER shall reimburse the CONTRACTOR for the additional expense incurred due to suspension of the Work , provided , however, that this provision shall not be construed as entitling the CONTRACTOR to compensation' for delays due to inclement weather, or to suspension made at the request of the CONTRACTOR , or for any other delay provided for in the Contract Documents. In order to receive consideration , claims for such compensation , with complete substantiating records , shall be filed with the OWNER within ten (10) days i after the date of the order to resume the Work. C. If the Work , or any part thereof, shall be suspended 'by the notice in writing from the OWNER as aforesaid, and if the OWNER does not give notice in writing to the CONTRACTOR to resume the Mork at a date within one year of the date fixed in the written notice to suspend , then the CONTRACTOR may abandon that portion of the Work so suspended, and he will be entitled to the estimates and payment' for all Work done , if any , on the portions so abandoned. ARTICLE 25 - LIEN LAWS The CONTRACTOR shall comply fully with all requirements of applicable mechanic 's lien laws , compliance with which by the CONTRACTOR would protect the OWNER and the OWNER.'s property against the filing of mechanic 's liens by Subcontractors , material suppliers , laborers or other third parties in connection with Work under the Contract. i Issue D GCL-14-
