Plant Life (Workbook; page 20)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description of Environmental Setting:
An ecological assessment was conducted as part of the Baseline Environmental Consulting, Revised
Preliminary Endangerment Assessment, March 2000, Weber Block Property. The California Natural
Diversity Database (CNDDB) and the California Department of Fish and game, Natural Heritage
program, were contacted during the preparation for the 1991 Amended West End Urban renewal
Project No. 1 Final EIR regarding the potential presence of threatened, endangered, or other species
of special concern in the area. As a result of urbanization and the level of disturbance in the project
area, no known listed plant, mammal, or other wildlife species are potentially affected as a result of
the development activities. The project is located in an industrial area. Areas proposed for
development include only lands, which have been previously developed for urban uses and do not
include native vegetation or provide any substantial wildlife habitat. The project does not include
wetlands or habitat for sensitive plant.
Ref: Insite Environmental: Administrative Draft, Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report
for the Mudville 9 Ballpark, Downtown Stockton, California, November 8, 1999
Analysis of Potential Impacts:
Based on this information, the project does not have the potential to adversely effect the diversity of
plants, reduce unique or rare species of plants, or reduce agricultural crops.
Ref: Insite Environmental: Administrative Draft, Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report
for the Mudville 9 Ballpark, Downtown Stockton, California, November 8, 1999
Findings:
Potentially
Potentially Significant Less Than
Significant Unless Significant No
Impact Mitigated Impact Impact
X
- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9
