The California Natural
Diversity Database (CNDDB) and the California Department of Fish and game, Natural Heritage
program, were contacted during the preparation for the 1991 Amended West End Urban renewal
Project No. 1 Final EIR regarding the potential presence of threatened, endangered, or other species
of special concern in the area. As a result of urbanization and the level of disturbance in the project
area, no known listed plant, mammal, or other wildlife species are potentially affected as a result of
the development activities. Fish habitat conditions at the project site were identified as likely to limit
the abundance and occurrence of fish species, and the absence of vegetation, steep banks, poor
water quality, and fine bottom substrate provide limited habitat for many fish
Ref: Insite Environmental: Administrative Draft, Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report
for the Mudville 9 Ballpark, Downtown Stockton, California, November 8, 1999
Analysis of Potential Impacts:
The result of the project is that the contaminated soils will be contained or subject to spot removal at
the Site which will be developed for industrial, commercial or recreational usage. Therefore, there is
no potential for adverse effects to animal life from this project.
Ref: Insite Environmental: Administrative Draft, Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report
for the Mudville 9 Ballpark, Downtown Stockton, California, November 8, 1999
Findings:
Potentially
Potentially Significant Less Than
Significant Unless Significant No
Impact Mitigated Impact Impact
X
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10
