• Tyvek coveralls (coated) <br /> 5.1.2 Level C <br /> Level C protection may only be used when contaminant exposures can be evaluated or <br /> controlled, oxygen is at least 20 percent, and the Lower Explosive Lunnt (LEL) is less than 10 <br /> percent Level C protection for this project will consist of the following <br /> • Hard hat, ANSI approved <br /> • Safety glasses, ANSI approved <br /> • National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)-approved, half- <br /> face air-purifying respirator with NIOSH-approved organic vapor cartridges <br /> • Steel-toed impermeable boots <br /> • Impermeable gloves <br /> • Tyvek hooded coveralls <br /> Full taping of ankles, wrists, and hood (if full-face respirators are worn) <br /> Level C PPE is strongly recommended for personnel handling dry grouting materials if levels <br /> of dust are considered a nuisance <br />■ 5.1.3 Level B <br />! Level B protection will not be used on this project without contacting the Health and Safety <br /> Representative and the local HS Department for an addendum to this HASP. <br /> 5.1.4 Level A Protection <br /> Level A protection will not be used <br /> 5.2 Respiratory Protection Program <br /> The IT respiratory protection program (HS601) will apply to all activities requiring the use of <br /> respirators at the site Basic requirements are as follows <br /> • All site personnel will have an assigned respirator face piece <br /> M7/11-29-94/RHSMASPM-W37 JAF 5-2 <br />
