If you are indoors, Practice "Duck, Cover and Hold". Stay there, do not attempt <br /> to run outside. Get under a sturdy desk, table or stand in a corner or doorway. <br /> Stay away from any windows. <br /> If you are outside, get into an open area and stay away from buildings, walls, <br /> power lines and trees. Do not attempt to run or walk while the shaking is going <br /> on. The best position would be kneeling or sitting down. <br /> If you are driving, stop the vehicle. Avoid any buildings and power lines. DO NOT <br /> stop on any of our bridges. DO NOT attempt to leave your vehicle until the <br /> shaking is over. <br /> If the earthquake occurs during an Auction, attempt to remain calm. DO NOT <br /> RUSH FOR THE EXITS. Crouch down and cover your head and neck with your <br /> hands and arms. <br /> After the shaking stops: <br /> Expect aftershocks, the secondary waves are usually less violent, but never the <br /> less can do additional damage to structures already weakened by the initial <br /> shock wave. <br /> DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THE TELEPHONE SYSTEM as they may have <br /> been damaged by the initial earthquake. The system may also fail because of <br /> overload. If an emergency call must be made, DO SO. <br /> Evacuation of buildings can be done at this time. Stay away from damaged <br /> structures, bridges and downed power lines. <br /> A roll call of employees in your specific area should be attempted. The normal <br /> radio communication system for ADESA Golden Gate can be used for <br /> employees caught out on the lot. Observe proper radio etiquette. DO NOT step <br /> on others transmissions. <br /> When roll call is complete and all of your employees are accounted for, ALL <br /> employees should assemble outside of the Cafeteria at Main Auction Building for <br /> instructions. <br /> NO employees will be allowed back into any building until the Evacuation <br /> Coordinator, Facility Manager or Senior Fire Official gives the "ALL CLEAR". <br /> Active Shooter/Robbery in Facility: <br /> 11 <br />
