The shop building <br />has overhead lighting. There is ample light to be able to detect a spill after dark. <br />6.2 Protection from Vehicles <br />The large diesel tank and fuel dispensing equipment are protected from vehicles and <br />equipment by K -Rails which will be installed to protect the tanks. <br />7.0 Training, Inspections, Tests, Reviews and Records <br />7.1 Personnel Training <br />Annually, the Designated Person trains all employees who dispense fuel, transfer lubricants, <br />and oversee the filling of fuel tanks. Any new person is also trained before they first perform <br />that function. A sample training log is included in Appendix B. The following topics are <br />addressed in the training: <br />• Proper procedures for performing the activity; <br />• Safety and fire prevention considerations; <br />• The location of the emergency shut off switches; <br />• The location, contents, and use of the spill clean-up kits; <br />• The location and contents of the SPCC Plan; <br />• Spill notification procedures and responsibilities; and <br />• Documentation requirements. <br />7.2 Bulk Storage Inspections and Integrity Testing <br />7.2.1 STI SP001 AST Inspection Standard <br />Cecchini Trucking performs monthly, and annual inspections based upon the STI SP001 <br />which is the industry standard for the type of tanks installed at the facility. The STI SP001 <br />Inspection Checklist is used during each inspection; refer to Appendix C in this SPCC Plan. <br />Monthly and annual inspections include the following: <br />• Visual inspection of all tank surfaces and bases for signs of leaks, corrosion, <br />deterioration, or other structural problems; <br />
