Mr. Gordon Lee Boggs
May 27, 1988
Page 2
4. Ogden Environmental shall provide to you and Laurie Cotulla
duplicates of all sample analyses provided to the local sewer
district of the water pumped from the water pumping wells
ringing the excavation area.
5. Ogden Environmental shall install and monitor water wells
alongside the north property line of the former Tillie Lewis
cannery in order to monitor any possible influx of contami-
nation from the Carnation Company site located across the
street from the north boundary of the Tillie Lewis cannery.
6. The procedure for ascertaining that all contamination has
been removed will be an on-site inspection and split soil
sampling conducted by either the CVRWQCB or San Joaquin Local
Health District. If the split soil sample reveals no con-
tamination, the CVR'WQCB will issue a letter of certification
to Progresso Foods Company evidencing that all contamination
has been removed and that the Board will make no further
requirements for additional sampling and/or removal .
If you have any questions regarding this description of our agreement,
please contact me. If there are no questions, please indicate your
acceptance of this description of the agreement by executing the
original and enclosed photocopy of this letter and returning one fully
executed original to me for my files.
Very truly
yours,
/f
Ken A.
