I see more confusion now. geeze. I think the main point is there should only be one sampling event: rebound/routine . It does not need to be done twice within a month of each other. Just move it to the last week of Sept; that is only a few days shy of when the official six months would be (shut down on April 2). In correspondence dated April 6, 2009 (and reiterated in correspondence dated May 133 2009) the EHD approved reducing the sampling of monitoring wells MW-1 , MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-6 and remediation well SVE- 1 to an annual schedule, and wells MW-5B, MW-7, MW-8, and AS-1 to a semi- annual schedule. Therefore, the next semi-annual sampling event should occur during Third Quarter 2009 (Aug/Sept/Oct) and the next annual event should occur during First Quarter 2010. Please note that the number of wells to be sampled has not been reduced. All site wells are being sampled, they are just being sampled less frequently. Since those letters were sent, the SWRCB has issued resolution 2009-0042 directing (among other things) the reduction in quarterly sampling frequency at all LOP sites unless site specific needs warrant otherwise. Obviously, this site has already met this directive. As concerns the rebound test and rebound sampling : I can find no correspondence in which the EHD ever approved sampling "all site monitoring wells" after the 6-month rebound test. That was Clearaaters proposal (correspondence dated April 1 , 2009), but the EHD did not direct or approve it. But if you wish to do all the routine wells again at the Third Quarter 2009 event, that would be OK. That would mean the 'annual' sampling event would change from First Quarter to Third Quarter for all future events. The Third Quarter 2009 sampling event should serve as the Rebound Sampling event, and should occur 9/29/2009
