1 SHARP Management Manual <br /> °�Rao�'• Former Tracy MGP Project Safety Plan(PSP) <br /> Safety bulletin boards maintained by the Project Safety Representative are primary information <br /> points for the project awareness campaign. Bulletin boards are located at the Parsons Corporate <br /> offices in Walnut Creek, California. <br /> The Project Safety Representative may also provide training, presentations, or informational <br /> materials as part of the awareness campaign. <br /> 4.4 STAKEHOLDER PSPALIGNMENT MEETING <br /> A stakeholder PSP alignment meeting must be held for projects that have a high health and <br /> safety risk. <br /> This project is considered a low to medium health and safety risk because investigation <br /> operations will be conducted in an area where underground utilities will be disconnected and/or <br /> removed prior to Site mobilization; health effects from the contaminants of concern at the Site <br /> (PAHs, TPH, VOCs and heavy metals) can be effectively managed through engineering controls; <br /> and the Site will be isolated from the surrounding community via fencing. As a result, the <br /> stakeholder PSP alignment meeting will be incorporated into the project kickoff meeting. The <br /> meeting will also include a review of stakeholder roles and responsibilities and elements of <br /> control appropriate to project risks. <br /> 4.5 TRAINING <br /> The project has a comprehensive health and safety training program tailored to the scope of <br /> work. All employees receive a Project Orientation as outlined in Section 4.2 upon assignment to <br /> the project. All Parsons new hires shall receive a facility Employee Orientation within the first 7 <br /> days of employment, provided by Human Resources, Facility Manager, Safety Representative <br /> and Staff Coordinator or their designee. Depending on the client, scope of work and location of <br /> the project, specific training topics for this project will include: <br /> • 40-hour HAZWOPER and 8-hour annual HAZWOPER refresher—if applicable, specific <br /> language to be used shall state: All personnel engaged in hazardous substance removal <br /> or other activities that expose or potentially expose them to hazardous substances or <br /> health hazards shall receive appropriate training as required by 29 CFR 1910.120, <br /> including, but not limited to, initial 40-hour, 8-hour Supervisor and annual 8-hour <br /> refresher training. <br /> • Controlled Substance and Alcohol Abuse Awareness (for Supervisors only) <br /> • Department of Transportation (DOT) -HM126F <br /> • Respiratory Protection <br /> • Lockout/Tagout <br /> • Back Safety—lifting and carrying <br /> • Defensive Driving <br /> 4.6 AUDITSANDINSPECTIONS <br /> The Project Safety Representative has implemented an audit and inspection program in <br /> conjunction with the GBU and corporate safety and quality assurance departments.
