SECTION 4 - GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES The Contractor is hereby notified that pursuant to Section 1770 et seq of the Labor Code of the Statutes of the State of California, the City Council of the City of Tracy has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the rates for legal holiday and overtime work for the locality in which the work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the Contract which will be awarded the successful bidder Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed SECTION 5 - PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE Subsequent to the execution of the project contract, the City shall designate a date and time for the pre-construction conference The Contractor shall, at the pre-construction conference, present a project construction schedule, anticipated timing of invoices for work completed, a list of material suppliers, and a traffic control plan required by Section 1 7 11 of the City of Tracy Standard Specifications At this meeting, the Contractor shall also submit plans for the coordination with the various utility companies Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed SECTION 6 - PROGRESS SCHEDULE AND ORDER OF WORK The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer a practicable progress schedule within ten (10) calendar days of the "Notice to Proceed", and within five (5) calendar days of the Engineer's written request at any other time The schedule shall show the order in which the Contractor proposes to carry out the work, the dates on which he will start the several salient features of the work (including procurement of materials and equipment), and the contemplated dates for completing the said salient features As provided in Section 6-01 of the Standard Specifications of the City of Tracy, "Progress and Acceptance of Work", the Contractor is advised that the Engineer may further direct by areas on the site, the order of installation of each mayor item of work so that succeeding mayor items of work may have timely and simultaneous access and that failure to comply with directions of the Engineer concerning the order of work may be cause for damages should work under the same be delayed Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices pard for the various contract items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed August 2001 Division 11 -3 Sall Park & Park& Ride Wells Ph 1
