SECTION 10 - SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES <br /> To minimize public inconvenience, possible hazards, and to restore streets and other <br /> work areas to their original condition as soon as practicable, the Contractor shall <br /> diligently prosecute the work to completion If, in the Engineer's opinion, the Contractor <br /> fails to prosecute the work to the extent that the above purposes are not being <br /> accomplished, the Contractor shall, upon orders from the Engineer, immediately take <br /> the steps necessary to fully accomplish said purposes All costs of prosecuting the work <br /> as described herein shall be absorbed in the Contractor's bid Should the Contractor fail <br /> to take the necessary steps to fully accomplish said proposed purposes, after orders of <br /> the Engineer to do so, the Engineer may suspend the work in whole or in part, until the <br /> Contractor takes said steps With or without such suspension, the Engineer may cause <br /> such steps to be taken by force account or other means at the Contractor's expense <br /> Ongoing Work Ad acent to the Pro ect <br /> The City reserves the right to perform or allow performance of other work, within or <br /> adjacent to the limits of this project, at any time, by other forces Construction work by <br /> other contractors and utility companies may be ongoing simultaneously within or adjacent <br /> to the limits of work for this project The Contractor shall coordinate and cooperate with all <br /> other contractors and utility companies throughout the duration of this project to avoid <br /> delays and conflicts It is the responsibility of the Contractor to install the necessary traffic <br /> control where needed to avoid delays and not disrupt the adjacent work The Contractor <br /> shall remove any traffic control installed when no longer needed and as directed by the <br /> Engineer <br /> Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise <br /> provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract <br /> items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed <br /> SECTION 11 - RIGHT-OF-WAYS AND CONSTRUCTION EASEMENTS <br /> The project site is contained entirely on property or right-of-way owned by the City of <br /> Tracy The Contractor shall make special arrangements for a field office and storage area <br /> No equipment or storage of materials will be allowed to remain within the right-of-way <br /> limits of adjacent streets after construction hours, on the weekends, or holidays <br /> The Contractor shall confine his construction operations to property or right-of-way owned <br /> by the City of Tracy If necessary, the Contractor shall, at his own cost and initiative, make <br /> special arrangements with the property owners for additional work area Any damage to <br /> property, either inside or outside the limits of construction, shall be the responsibility of the <br /> Contractor The Contractor will be required to furnish the City, prior to working outside the <br /> City's property, written releases from property owners where side arrangements or special <br /> easements have been made or where the Contractor's operations, for any reason, have <br /> not been kept within the property owned by the City <br /> August 2001 Division 11 -5 Ball Park & Park& Ride Wells Ph 1 <br />
