i 1 <br /> SECTION 24 - PROJECT SITE SAFETY <br /> The Contractor shall familiarize himself with the project site conditions Safety of open <br /> trenches and other construction work is the Contractor's responsibility The Contractor's <br /> ' attention is directed to the location of the project site within the vicinity of residential <br /> areas, commercial areas, and schools The Contractor shall provide and erect proper <br /> signs, barricades, and fences as directed by the Engineer to safely secure the <br /> construction area <br /> Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise <br /> provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract <br /> items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed <br /> SECTION 25 - SUPERVISION OF WORK <br /> The Contractor shall employ superintendent on site for coordination of all work with the <br /> P Y a <br /> City and neighboring property owners Prior approval of the Superintendent will be <br /> required from the City and the City reserves the right to request appropriate replacement <br /> of the Superintendent any time during construction of the project <br /> ' Due to the high degree of ongoing coordination with the City, the Contractor shall <br /> provide the superintendent's, or other company contact person's, name and phone <br /> number to be used after construction hours and in an emergency The City requires the <br /> Contractor's immediate mitigation of any project related traffic or other safety issue 24 <br /> hours a day <br /> Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section, not otherwise <br /> provided for, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract <br /> items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed <br /> SECTION 26 — PROSECUTION OF THE WORK <br /> Once work has started on the project, the Contractor shall diligently prosecute the work <br /> to assure that the project is completed within the specified time Throughout the <br /> construction period, the Contractor shall keep the sites of the work in a presentable <br /> condition in accordance with these specifications The Contractor must provide, if at all <br /> possible and appropriate, for continuous operations from the time work is commenced to <br /> completion No unnecessary delays or work stoppages will be tolerated All work shall <br /> ' be performed under the direct supervision of an experienced water well driller <br /> SECTION 27 — BOUNDARIES OF THE WORK <br /> The Contractor shall not enter on or occupy with personnel, tools, equipment, or <br /> material, any property other than that owned by the City without the specific written <br /> consent of the City of such property <br /> August 2001 Division 11 -12 Ball Park & Park & Ride Wells Ph 1 <br />
