r SECTION 28 —TEMPORARY SHUTDOWN ' Whenever there is an interruption in the work, such as overnight, inclement weather, etc , the production wells shall be covered in a manner that will preclude injury to animals and individuals and loss of damage of tools and equipment Furthermore, the work areas shall be securely protected at all times when the Contractor's employees are absent from the work areas in order to preclude entry into the construction areas by animals and unauthorized individuals, it shall be the Contractor's responsibility to select ' an appropriate and effective means to provide the necessary protection SECTION 29 —TERMS Command type sentences used in the contract documents refer to and are directed to the Contractor SECTION 30 - PERMITS CERTIFICATES LAWS AND ORDINANCES The Contractor shall, at its own expense, procure an Underground Services Alert (USA) ' permit and all other permits, certificates, and licenses required by law for the execution of the work herein specified The Contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state, or local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations relating to the performance of the work In the event of any conflict with the provisions herein, the applicable laws, ordinances, or regulations shall prevail The City will not accept the work of this project until a copy of the Health Department's permits and the well driller's reports and all other submittals have been received by the City SECTION 31 - EQUIPMENT AND OPERATING REQUIREMENTS ' The Contractor shall provide the necessary materials, equipment, labor, transportation, tools, fuel, power, light, sanitary facilities, noise control, dust control measures, and all other items incidental to the performance of the work It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to determine that any and all equipment proposed for use of this project can be mobilized at the sites Such determination shall include, but not be limited to, establishment of vehicle and equipment clearances, consideration of overhead power lines, soft ground, underground utilities, etc SECTION 32 —COOPERATION ' Attention is directed to Sections 7-1 14, "Cooperation", and 8-1 10, "Utility and Non- Highway Facilities", of the Standard Specifications and these special provisions Construction work by other forces consisting of utility relocations will possibly be in progress within and adjacent to the limits of this Contract The Contractor for the work herein specified shall cooperate with such forces as to impose as little inconvenience and delay as possible August 2001 Division 11 -13 Ball Park& Park& Ride Wells Ph 1
