r <br /> SECTION 28 —TEMPORARY SHUTDOWN <br /> ' Whenever there is an interruption in the work, such as overnight, inclement weather, <br /> etc , the production wells shall be covered in a manner that will preclude injury to <br /> animals and individuals and loss of damage of tools and equipment Furthermore, the <br /> work areas shall be securely protected at all times when the Contractor's employees are <br /> absent from the work areas in order to preclude entry into the construction areas by <br /> animals and unauthorized individuals, it shall be the Contractor's responsibility to select <br /> ' an appropriate and effective means to provide the necessary protection <br /> SECTION 29 —TERMS <br /> Command type sentences used in the contract documents refer to and are directed to <br /> the Contractor <br /> SECTION 30 - PERMITS CERTIFICATES LAWS AND ORDINANCES <br /> The Contractor shall, at its own expense, procure an Underground Services Alert (USA) <br /> ' permit and all other permits, certificates, and licenses required by law for the execution <br /> of the work herein specified The Contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, <br /> state, or local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations relating to the performance of the <br /> work In the event of any conflict with the provisions herein, the applicable laws, <br /> ordinances, or regulations shall prevail <br /> The City will not accept the work of this project until a copy of the Health Department's <br /> permits and the well driller's reports and all other submittals have been received by the <br /> City <br /> SECTION 31 - EQUIPMENT AND OPERATING REQUIREMENTS <br /> ' The Contractor shall provide the necessary materials, equipment, labor, transportation, <br /> tools, fuel, power, light, sanitary facilities, noise control, dust control measures, and all <br /> other items incidental to the performance of the work <br /> It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to determine that any and all equipment <br /> proposed for use of this project can be mobilized at the sites Such determination shall <br /> include, but not be limited to, establishment of vehicle and equipment clearances, <br /> consideration of overhead power lines, soft ground, underground utilities, etc <br /> SECTION 32 —COOPERATION <br /> ' Attention is directed to Sections 7-1 14, "Cooperation", and 8-1 10, "Utility and Non- <br /> Highway Facilities", of the Standard Specifications and these special provisions <br /> Construction work by other forces consisting of utility relocations will possibly be in <br /> progress within and adjacent to the limits of this Contract The Contractor for the work <br /> herein specified shall cooperate with such forces as to impose as little inconvenience <br /> and delay as possible <br /> August 2001 Division 11 -13 Ball Park& Park& Ride Wells Ph 1 <br />
