C Place pea gravel, sand, and bentonite pellets in the test hole through a <br /> construction tremae pipe A gravel pump may be used for installing the gravel <br /> D If the volume of the fill material is less than that specified in Part 2 01 above, <br /> redrill the test hole to eliminate bridging of fill material and refill with material <br /> specified herein <br /> SECTION 13 -- PRODUCTION WELL DRILLING AND CALIPER SURVEY (Bid Item <br /> No s A7, B7, A8, B8, A27 & B27) <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 101 DESCRIPTION <br /> This section includes the procedures and materials associated with drilling the 32"bore <br /> holes by reverse circulation rotary drilling methods to a depth of about 1000 feet No <br /> other drilling method will be authorized It also includes materials, labor, tools and <br /> equipment required to maintain circulation, and protect the bore holes from caving This <br /> section also includes a description and procedures for conducting a caliper survey on <br /> the well bore holes to enable estimates of filter gravel pack needed in the wells <br /> 1 02 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> A Production Well Drilling shall be measured on a linear foot basis, as determined <br /> by length measurements Measurement will be based on the actual number of <br /> vertical lineal feet drilled to the specified diameter, measured from below the <br /> surfacing casing The contract unit price paid for Production Well Drilling (Bid <br /> Item No s A7 & 137) shall include full compensation for conforming to these <br /> requirements, furnishing all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals <br /> and for doing all the work involved in Temporary Test Hole Stabilization, <br /> complete in place, as specified in the Standard Specifications, these special <br /> provisions and as directed by the Engineer and no additional compensation will <br /> be allowed <br /> B Caliper Survey shall be paid for on a lump sum basis The contract lump sum <br /> price paid for Caliper Survey (Bid Item No s A8 & 138) shall include full <br /> compensation for conforming to these requirements, furnishing all the labor, <br /> materials, tools, equipment, incidentals and for doing all the work involved in <br /> Caliper Survey complete in place, all as specified in the Standard Specifications, <br /> these Special Provisions, and as directed by the Engineer and no additional <br /> compensation will be allowed <br /> Measurement will be based on the percentage of work completed as determined <br /> by the Engineer <br /> C Standby Time shall be measured on an hourly basis, as determined by the <br /> nearest quarter of an hour The contract unit price paid for Standby Time (Bid <br /> Item No s A27 & B27) shall include full compensation for conforming to these <br /> requirements, as specified in the Standard Specifications, these special <br /> provisions and as directed by the Engineer and no additional compensation will <br /> be allowed <br /> August 2001 Division 111 -18 Ball Park& Park & Ride Wells Ph 1 <br />
