B Continue development of the well until the well produces not more than 5 ppm of <br /> sand by volume within 15 minutes after pumping at a rate specified by the <br /> ' Engineer (approximately 2500 gpm) and until the specific capacity remains stable <br /> after pumping and surging at approximately 2500 gpm or until discontinued at the <br /> request of the Engineer <br /> C If, during the development operations, there is any indication of settlement of the <br /> gravel pack, add more gravel Add chlorine to this gravel, as described in Part <br /> 3 02 B of Division III, Section 15 Record and report the quantity to the Engineer <br /> ' SECTION 17— STEP DRAWDOWN, CONSTANT RATE TESTS, & REC SURV (Bid <br /> Item No s A19, B19, A20 & B20) <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 101 DESCRIPTION <br /> ' Pumping tests shall include, a step drawdown test with increasing discharge rate, a <br /> long-term continuous, constant rate, time drawdown test, and a time-recovery test <br /> ' <br /> 102 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> A Development and Test Pumping shall be measured on the actual number of <br /> hours of test pumping Measurement will be based on the actual number of <br /> hours of Development and Test Pumping done The contract unit price paid for <br /> Development and Test Pumping (Bid Item No s A19 & B19) shall include full <br /> compensation for conforming to these requirements, furnishing all the labor, <br /> materials, tools, equipment, incidentals and for doing all the work involved in <br /> i Development and Test Pumping, complete in place, as specified in the Standard <br /> Specifications, these special provisions and as directed by the Engineer and no <br /> additional compensation will be allowed Pump operation during well testing will <br /> be measured and paid for by hour of pump operation <br /> B No payment will be made to the Contractor for pumping tests interrupted by the <br /> ' malfunctioning or failure of pumping equipment If the test is interrupted, allow <br /> the water levels to recover, then restart the test <br /> C Final Water Quality Testing shall be paid for on a lump sum basis The contract <br /> lump sum price paid for Final Water Quality Testing (Bid Item No s A20 & B20) <br /> shall include full compensation for conforming to these requirements, furnishing <br /> ' all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals and for doing all the work <br /> involved in Final Water Quality Testing, including payment for obtaining the <br /> services of a State-certified laboratory to collect, preserve, transport and analyze <br /> one water sample as specified in Part 3 03 C of this Section, necessary for <br /> ' completion of the work, as shown on the contract plans, as specified in the <br /> Standard Specifications and these special provisions and as directed by the <br /> Engineer and no additional compensation will be allowed Measurement will be <br /> based on the percentage of work completed as determined by the Engineer <br /> ' PART 2 - MATERIALS <br /> 2 01 ELECTRICAL DEPTH GAUGES <br /> August 2001 Division 111 -31 Ball Park& Park& Ride Wells Ph 1 <br />
