A After completion of the recovery test, conduct a flowmeter survey on the well
below the depth of entry of the 4-inch sounding pipe and after pumping the well
continuously for four (4) hours Run the survey at a constant rate of 2500 gpm or
at a rate determined by the Engineer Calibrate the meter used for the survey
within the uppermost and lowermost blank sections of the 18-inch casing
Perform one static and four (4) dynamic tests The static test shall consist of two
2-minute readings made at 10-foot increments within screened well sections
Conduct each dynamic test at different traverse rates to be determined by the
Engineer The record for each test shall indicate either meter speed or
percentage of total meter speed with depth
B The flowmeter survey shall become the property of the City at the time the
survey is completed Run the survey in the presence of the Engineer
C Provide whatever assistance may be required to accomplish the flowmeter
survey There will be no additional payment for ng time or idle time while the
' survey is being run
202 DEPTH SPECIFIC SAMPLING
A After pumping the well at a constant rate of 2500 gpm or at a rate determined by
the Engineer for a duration of four (4) hours, obtain depth specific water samples
from the well at locations determined by the Engineer
iB Contractor shall retain a firm to obtain the depth specific water samples that are
approved by the Engineer
C The contractor shall also retain the services of a State-certified laboratory to
preserve, transport, and conduct water quality testing on the water samples in
accordance with Chapter 15 of the California Code of Regulations, Title 22
"Domestic Water Quality and Monitoring"
The water quality testing shall include the following
1 Inorganics (Section 64432)
2 Secondary Standards (Section 64449, Table 64449-A)
3 Secondary Standards (Section 64449, Table 64449-B)
4 General Mineral (Section 64449 (c) (2))
5 Dissolved Iron
' 6 Dissolved Manganese
7 Hexavalent Chromium
8 Perchlorate
SECTION 19 -TELEVISION WELL SURVEY WELL DISINFECTION & WELL
CAPPING (Bid Item No s A24, B24, A25 & B25)
PART 1 - GENERAL
1 01 DESCRIPTION
August 2001 Division 111 -35 Ball Park& Park & Ride Wells Ph 1
