This is an important area because it is the area of highest reported contamination in the soil, really high.VW-2
needs to be sampled. I see Margaret did not mention this well in her 7121/09 letter, I don't know why but I will
address this in a follow up modification letter. Next semi-annual should be in July, hopefully we can get this
straightened out by then.
Also, I am concerned about that soil data. The numbers were so very high in those three borings, and it does not
appear any confirmation borings were done. Unfortunately, the ozone sparge points were put in without even
logging, much less sampling. I haven't discussed it with our geologist yet, but I think we may need to do a
confirmation boring in that area, to ensure there is no continuing source of contamination leeching into the GW.
would appreciate any comments...
Lori
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
Idu ncan(o,s iceh d.com
(209)468-0337 phone
(209)468-3433 fax
4/2/2010
