Dividend Development Corporation May 13, 1991
Workplan to Determine Extent of Soil Contamination page 3
WELL INSTALLATION:
A State of California licensed contractor with a C-57 license will
be responsible for the drilling activities. ' The hollow stem auger
method will be utilized to facilitate both sample collection and
well construction. These activities will be completed under the
direct supervision of a .registered geologist from Toxic Technology,
Inc.
WELL CONSTRUCTION:
The monitoring wells will be constructed with Schedule 40, two-inch
(211) , flush thread, PVC casing with .0020 slots. The annular space
of the well will be filled with a #3 Monterey Sand filterpack, a
bentonite seal will be placed above the filter pack and a bentonite
cement .grout will be placed above this and completed to the
surface. The surface completion will consist of a locking monument
coverbox cemented into place. The covers will .be numbered for easy
well identification (Reference Typical Groundwater Monitoring Well,
enclosed) .. The anticipated depth of the monitoring well is
approximately twenty to twenty-five feet below ground surface (201
to 251 bgs) . The first shallow aquifer in this area is reported to
be between eight and fifteen feet (a , to 151 ) deep. It' . is
`
anticipated that ten feet (101 ) of penetration into the aquifer
will be sufficient to allow a good recharge rate and provide
representative water samples.
i
Toxic Technology, Inc.
