Future borings and / or wells will be <br /> dictated by the results of the PSA and any LRA directives . <br /> B. Take soil and ground water samples according to the <br /> PHS/EHD guidelines . <br /> TASK 3 INTERIM REMEDIAL ACTION <br /> A. Treat and / or dispose of, the polluted soil stockpile <br /> at the site, if any, and obtain any necessary permits that are <br /> required prior to conducting treatment / disposal activities . <br /> At this time, there appears to be no excavated polluted soil on <br /> the site. <br /> B. Conduct other remedial action as needed. If free <br /> product is found during the PSA it must be removed and legally <br /> disposed of as soon as possible. If ground water is found to be <br /> polluted and it immediately threatens any municipal or domestic <br /> wells, then the appropriate action must be taken to control the <br /> pollution plume and prevent any impact on said wells . <br /> TASK 4 LABORATORY ANALYSIS <br /> A. Deliver all soil and groundwater samples to an <br /> analytical laboratory licensed by the State of California for <br /> hazardous materials work. The samples shall be handled <br /> according to the "Chain of Custody" requirements specified in <br /> the PHS/EHD Corrective Action Guidelines . In addition, any <br /> necessary duplicate samples, trip blanks or other "Quality <br /> Assurance / Quality Control" measures required by the <br /> Guidelines shall also be followed. The samples shall be <br /> analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (gasoline) and BTX&E <br /> (Benzene, Toluene, Xylene and Ethylbezene) . <br /> TASK 5 REPORT PREPARATION <br /> A. Prepare a technical report which documents the above <br /> activities and analyzes / discusses the data collected, and <br /> send four copies to Eraclis Tsirelas for forwarding to the LRA. <br /> The report shall include an executive summary of investigation <br /> activities and results, a tabulation of all soil and ground <br /> water data, laboratory data sheets, and any recommendations for <br /> further work if the data warrants it. <br /> B. Meet with PHS/EHD personnel at least once if required, <br /> to discuss any report deficiencies . Consultant shall correct <br /> any report deficiencies and submit a revised report to the <br /> PHS/EHD for review. <br /> -3- <br />
