August 26, 1987 AGS 87053-1 <br /> Reynolds and Brown, Tracy, California <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site location is depicted on the Site vicinity Map, Plate <br /> P-1. An underground diesel storage tank cluster which consisted <br /> of two 10, 000 gallon tanks was present near the north edge of the <br /> property. The approximate configuration of the tanks are shown <br /> on the Generalized Site Plan, Plate P-2 . Ramcon, of West Sacra- <br /> mento, California, conducted the tank removal operations and was <br /> responsible for permit application and notification of the <br /> appropriate authorities. Mr. W. R. Snavely, of the San Joaquin <br /> Local Health District, was present during tank removal <br /> operations. <br /> FIELD WORK AND METHODS <br /> w <br /> An Applied GeoSystems geologist was present on August 20, 1987 to <br /> observe tank removal and to collect four soil samples and one <br /> ground water sample from the base of the excavation. The tanks <br /> were oriented east-west, or parallel Grant Line Road. The <br /> southernmost tank was designated T1, the northernmost tank was <br /> designated T2 . <br /> 2 <br /> 4p v/ied GeoSystemS <br />
