Mr.Jerry Swart Page 2 <br /> FedEx Ground <br /> April 3,2013 Proposal Number 3303.13.159 <br /> soil sample will generally be collected at the remaining boring locations,except for borings along <br /> the former Shell pipeline area where up to 2 soil samples will be collected for analysis. <br /> • Up to seven soil vapor borings will be advanced to 5 feet bgs in proposed structure locations. <br /> Standard soil logging and sample handling practices will be employed. The soil vapor and grab <br /> groundwater samples will be collected from the borings using standard techniques. <br /> Laboratory Analysis: Up to 16 groundwater samples,30 soil samples and seven soil vapor samples will <br /> be submitted to analytical laboratories for analysis of one or more of the following analyses by standard <br /> United States Environmental Protection Agency(USEPA)methods. <br /> • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons(TPH)as gasoline range organics(TPH-g),diesel range organics <br /> (TPH-d)and motor oil range organics(TPH-mo)by USEPA Method 80158 with silica gel cleanup <br /> —Up to 30 soil samples(up to 12 shallow composite samples and 18 discrete samples) <br /> • Benzene,Toluene, Ethyl benzene and Xylenes(BTE)O and MTBE by USEPA Method 82608- <br /> Up to 30 soil samples(up to 12 shallow composite samples and 18 discrete samples) <br /> • Organochlorine Pesticides(OCPs)by USEPA Method 6081 —Up to 18 soil samples(including 12 <br /> composite samples and 6 discrete samples) <br /> • Resource Conservation Recovery Act(RCRA)8 Metals by USEPA Method 6010—Up to 18 soil <br /> samples(up to 12 shallow composite samples and 6 discrete samples) <br /> • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)and TPH-g by USEPA Method 8260B—Up to 16 grab- <br /> groundwater samples <br /> • TPH-d and TPH-mo by 8015M with silica gel cleanup—Up to 16 grab-groundwater samples <br /> • VOCs by TO-15-Up to 7 soil vapor samples <br /> Reporting:Upon completion of the field activities and receipt of the laboratory analyses, BVNA will <br /> review our findings and analytical results with you and prepare a written report summarizing the work <br /> performed at the Site. The report will include tabulated data summaries,figures showing the boring <br /> locations and appended boring logs and certified analytical reports. <br /> SCHEDULE <br /> BVNA will begin this project upon receipt of your written authorization to proceed. Using standard 7-to <br /> 10-day laboratory tum-around time, verbal results would be ready approximately three weeks from receipt <br /> of authorization to proceed and approval of the Work Plan and drilling permits from SJCEHD,and the <br /> written report would be ready approximately one week later. <br /> FEES AND ASSUMPTIONS <br /> BVNA will perform this work for a fixed fee of$48,500.00 based on standard laboratory turnaround. The <br /> work is subject to and in accordance with the terms and conditions that apply to our current Phase <br /> Environmental Site Assessment for the Site. <br />
