i <br /> J Beacon Station No 3641 September 9, 2002 <br /> Stockton California Work Plan <br /> 0 evaluate appropriate depths for collection of vertical delineation groundwater <br /> samples in borings CPT-2 through CPT-5 <br /> Utilizing the CPT rig, advance dual borings at four additional locations to <br /> collect data on the vertical extent of soil and groundwater impacts in the UST <br /> area (CPT-2), the horizontal and vertical extent of groundwater impacts in the <br /> areas of monitoring well MW-6 and MW-7 (CPT-3 and CPT-4), and the area <br /> southwest of monitoring well MW-2 (CPT-5) <br /> Advance dual CPT borings at the CPT-2 location through an existing UST <br /> cavity conductor casing Initially, advance a boring to approximately 100 feet <br /> bsg and collect a groundwater sample Advance the second boring and collect <br /> soil samples at five-foot intervals starting at 65 feet bsg to approximately 100 <br /> feet bsg to delineate the vertical extent of soil impacts <br /> Advance dual CPT borings at three locations (CPT-3 through CPT-5) to <br /> collect groundwater samples at the water table (approximately 45 feet bsg) for <br /> lateral groundwater delineation, and at the total depth of approximately 75 feet <br /> bsg for vertical groundwater delineation The groundwater samples shall be <br /> collected from two separate borings to eliminate the possibility of cross <br /> contamination between the water table and deeper levels The soil borings <br /> shall be backfilled with an appropriate material <br /> Task 3 Submit the groundwater samples, under chain of custody documentation, to a <br /> state-certified laboratory The samples shall be analyzed for TPHg, the volatile <br /> aromatic compounds benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), the <br /> seven fuel oxygenates methyl-t-butyl ether (MTBE), diisopropyl ether (DIPE), <br /> ethyl-t-butyl ether (ETBE), tert-amyl-methyl ether (TAME), tert butanol <br /> (TBA), methanol and ethanol, and the halogenated organic compounds 1,2- <br /> • dichloroethane (DCA) and 1,2-dibromoethane(DBA or EDB) <br /> 641wp9-o2 <br /> Project No 1641 15 5 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br />
