i J Beacon Station No 3641 September 9, 2002 Stockton California Work Plan 0 evaluate appropriate depths for collection of vertical delineation groundwater samples in borings CPT-2 through CPT-5 Utilizing the CPT rig, advance dual borings at four additional locations to collect data on the vertical extent of soil and groundwater impacts in the UST area (CPT-2), the horizontal and vertical extent of groundwater impacts in the areas of monitoring well MW-6 and MW-7 (CPT-3 and CPT-4), and the area southwest of monitoring well MW-2 (CPT-5) Advance dual CPT borings at the CPT-2 location through an existing UST cavity conductor casing Initially, advance a boring to approximately 100 feet bsg and collect a groundwater sample Advance the second boring and collect soil samples at five-foot intervals starting at 65 feet bsg to approximately 100 feet bsg to delineate the vertical extent of soil impacts Advance dual CPT borings at three locations (CPT-3 through CPT-5) to collect groundwater samples at the water table (approximately 45 feet bsg) for lateral groundwater delineation, and at the total depth of approximately 75 feet bsg for vertical groundwater delineation The groundwater samples shall be collected from two separate borings to eliminate the possibility of cross contamination between the water table and deeper levels The soil borings shall be backfilled with an appropriate material Task 3 Submit the groundwater samples, under chain of custody documentation, to a state-certified laboratory The samples shall be analyzed for TPHg, the volatile aromatic compounds benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), the seven fuel oxygenates methyl-t-butyl ether (MTBE), diisopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl-t-butyl ether (ETBE), tert-amyl-methyl ether (TAME), tert butanol (TBA), methanol and ethanol, and the halogenated organic compounds 1,2- • dichloroethane (DCA) and 1,2-dibromoethane(DBA or EDB) 641wp9-o2 Project No 1641 15 5 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC.
