Appropriate soil samples will be <br /> collected from the base and sidewalls of the excavated area to evaluate if <br /> hydrocarbonous soil has been removed. <br /> a Observe excavation of soil in and around the proposed gasoline-tank cavity <br /> to approximately 12 feet below grade. <br /> o Collect appropriate soil samples from the base of the proposed tank cavity to <br /> evaluate hydrocarbons, if present, in soil were removed by excavation. <br /> o Install a maximum of six conductor casings in either tank cavity to allow soil <br /> borings to be drilled between the new tanks at a later date,if soilcontaining <br /> greater than 10 ppm of TPHg and greater than 1.0 ppm benzene remains at <br /> the bottom of either tank cavity after the-sate operating limits of the <br /> equipment is reached. <br /> o Collect and analyze one soil sample every 20 linear feet below the former <br /> F product lines. <br /> `•�a 1 o Observe excavation of soil in and around existing waste-oil tank until the safe <br /> operating limits of the equipment with respect to sidewall stability and the <br /> sidewall stability and surrounding structures are reached. <br /> M o Submit the sail sample collected within four feet,below the fill port of the <br /> waste-oil tank: to evaluate the soil for.waste oil and related compounds. <br /> Submit the soil sample for analyzes discussed under Excavation of the Waste- <br /> Oil Cavity. <br /> n Collect and analyze soil samples from the stockpiled soil, evaluate disposal <br /> options and apprise ARCO on the disposal options for the soil. <br /> o Submit soil samples to a State-certified laboratory for analysis of TPHg and <br /> BTEX. Soil samples collected from under the former leaded gasoline tank <br /> will be submitted for analysis of total and organic.lead: <br /> o Prepare a report summarizing tank removal operations and our findings, <br /> conclusions, and recommendations. <br /> u <br /> ' U <br />
