i <br /> According to Mr David WEdmayer of the Stockton East Water District, three property parcels <br /> ' within 2,000-feet have operating water wells These properties include the San Joaquin Catholic <br /> Cemetery (site), St Joseph's Hospital, and a residential dwelling at 1821 North Hunter Street <br /> According to Mr Al Vigil, three irrigation wells exist on the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery site <br /> According to Mr Ray McAllister of St Joseph's Hospital, two wells exist near the corner of <br /> Cemetery Lane and McCloud Avenue to serve all of the hospital's water needs According to <br /> Mr Leon Schafer, owner of the property at 1821 North Hunter Street, his well is used for <br /> domestic use Appendix C includes a base map showing the locations of these wells, a table <br /> summarizing any available well construction data, and a copy of the available well completion <br /> reports <br /> According to Mr Scott Bailey of the California Water Service, city water service is available <br /> throughout the site vicinity He also indicated that the California Water Service does not operate <br /> any water wells within 2,000 feet of the site <br /> Reconnaissance of the site vicinity included a walking tour of the area within at least 500 feet of <br /> the site The site vicinity is mixed industrial, commercial and residential property Despite the <br /> availability of city water service throughout the entire site vicinity, it is possible that additional <br /> private wells could exist, however, no such wells were observed during reconnaissance <br /> The nearest hospitals to the site are the St Joseph's Hospital approximately 500 feet to the <br /> west, and the Stockton State Hospital approximately 1,500 feet to the south The nearest school <br /> to the site is the Commodore Stockton Skills School, a junior high school located at 349 East <br /> Vine Street, approximately 1,500 feet southwest of the site There are no significant surface <br /> water bodies within the site vicinity <br /> 23 Remedial Confirmation Soil and Groundwater Sampling and Analysis <br /> On August 24, 2000, to confirm the effectiveness of ENSR's remediation efforts and to delineate <br /> the vertical extent of impacted groundwater, Gregg Drilling and Testing, Inc (Gregg), a state <br /> licensed drilling contractor(C-57#656407), conducted a cone penetrometer test (CPT) and <br /> collected soil and groundwater samples near the former USTs Gregg advanced sod borings at <br /> two locations using a truck-mounted CPT rig, with a down pressure capacity of approximately 25 <br /> tons Gregg's Presentation of Cone Penetration Test Data, dated September 11, 2000, is <br /> included as Appendix D <br /> 6 <br />
