GROUND WATER DEPTH AND FLOW DIRECTION
I
Based on data obtained from the preliminary site assessment, the depth to ground water at the site
f is approximately 20 to 25 feet below surface grade(bsg).Based on data obtained from a nearby site
(706 North El Dorado Street) the prevailing ground water flow direction in the vicinity of the site
is estimated to be toward the northeast.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
I_I Based on the analytical results from the preliminary site assessment,AGE proposes the installation
of four ground water monitoring wells and one deep soil boring to assess the vertical and lateral
extent of impacted soil and ground water at the site. The assessment activities will consist of the
following tasks:
10 Permitting and pre-field work preparations;
Ja Drilling and soil sample collection;
U Well installation, development and survey;
u0 Ground water sample collection;
• Preparation of a report of findings.
`- 3.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK PREPARATIONS
I`l Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the San Joaquin County EHD.In addition,
an update to the health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance with
Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National
Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency, 1985).Prior to mobilization, each monitoring well location will
be clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert.
LI
3.2. DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLING
AGE proposes to install four ground water monitoring wells to define the lateral extent of impacted
soil and ground water at the site. In addition, AGE proposes to advance one deep soil boring to
Advanced GeaEnvironmental,Inc.
