i 4 ) <br /> Project No. 014-94276 <br /> Page No. 3 <br /> 6.0 PURPOSE OF INVESTIGATION <br /> The purpose of this investigation is to destroy monit ring wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-6 because <br /> the wells are no Ionger needed or are damaged. <br /> 7.0 SCOPE OF THE INVESTIGATION <br /> The scope of the investigation will be limited to the destruction of monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, <br /> and MW-6. The construction specifications of wells MW-1 and MW-2 are known and because the wells were <br /> constructed to State and County standards, these wells will be d stroyed by pressure grouting the well casings. <br /> Monitoring well MW-6 has been damaged; therefore, this well will be destroyed by over-drilling the well and <br /> tremmie grouting the borehole. <br /> I <br /> 8.0 METHODOLOGY <br /> � LL <br /> In order to accomplish the goals established in the Pu Tose and scope of the investigation sections of <br /> this Workplan, the following methods will be employed: <br /> 1. All necessary permits and approvals will be obtained from the San Joaquin County <br /> Department of Environmental Health Servi es prior to the commencement of the <br /> investigation at the project site. Copies of this Work/HeaIth and Safety Plan will be <br /> released to the San Joaquin County Department of Environmental Health Services to <br /> obtain approval to begin our field investigate n. <br /> t <br /> ,y. <br /> 2. The three monitoring wells will be destroyed in accordance with the San Joaquin <br /> f <br /> ' County Environmental Health Department ell standards and Ordinance Number <br /> 3675, and Department of Water Resources ( WR) Bulletin Nos. 74-81 and 74-90. <br /> es <br /> 3. Monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2 will be destroyed by pressure grouting the <br /> existing monitoring well casings in-place, The grout will consist of neat cement <br /> mixed at a ratio of one 94-pound bag of cement to 6 gallons of water.
