i 4 ) Project No. 014-94276 Page No. 3 6.0 PURPOSE OF INVESTIGATION The purpose of this investigation is to destroy monit ring wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-6 because the wells are no Ionger needed or are damaged. 7.0 SCOPE OF THE INVESTIGATION The scope of the investigation will be limited to the destruction of monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-6. The construction specifications of wells MW-1 and MW-2 are known and because the wells were constructed to State and County standards, these wells will be d stroyed by pressure grouting the well casings. Monitoring well MW-6 has been damaged; therefore, this well will be destroyed by over-drilling the well and tremmie grouting the borehole. I 8.0 METHODOLOGY � LL In order to accomplish the goals established in the Pu Tose and scope of the investigation sections of this Workplan, the following methods will be employed: 1. All necessary permits and approvals will be obtained from the San Joaquin County Department of Environmental Health Servi es prior to the commencement of the investigation at the project site. Copies of this Work/HeaIth and Safety Plan will be released to the San Joaquin County Department of Environmental Health Services to obtain approval to begin our field investigate n. t ,y. 2. The three monitoring wells will be destroyed in accordance with the San Joaquin f ' County Environmental Health Department ell standards and Ordinance Number 3675, and Department of Water Resources ( WR) Bulletin Nos. 74-81 and 74-90. es 3. Monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2 will be destroyed by pressure grouting the existing monitoring well casings in-place, The grout will consist of neat cement mixed at a ratio of one 94-pound bag of cement to 6 gallons of water.
