Copies of spent lead a id battery disposal records were not found on site. The generator shall <br /> retain on site for at least thr e years a legible copy of each manifest or bill of lading which identifies <br /> spent lead acid batteries sh pped to a person who stores, uses, reuses, recycles, or reclaims the <br /> batteries or their componen s. Immediately locate a copy of all disposal records for spent lead acid <br /> batteries for the last three y ars, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD by May 9, 2014. <br /> 128. Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the last three years were not found on site. A <br /> copy of each bill of lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all <br /> bills of lading for used oil filters for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the <br /> EHD by May 9, 2014. <br /> 305. The eyewash station i room F6 was observed with containers stored in front of it, blocking <br /> access. The fire extinguishe in room F6 was observed with papers in front of it, blocking access. The <br /> fire extinguisher in the auto hop was observed surrounded by equipment and not accessible. The fire <br /> extinguisher in the Gator sh d was observed with a maintenance date of 7/11/12. No spill control <br /> equipment was provided in t e Gator shed; a storm drain was observed in shed floor. According to Mr. <br /> Schmidt, the eyewashes in t e science rooms and chemical storage areas are not being tested weekly; <br /> the labels on the eyewashe and showers state that they should be tested weekly. All facility <br /> communications and alarm ystems, fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and <br /> decontamination equipment, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation <br /> in time of emergency. The ntainers were removed from the eyewash area in room F6 at the time of <br /> inspection. The fire extingui her was moved to a more accessible location at the time of inspection. <br /> Immediately conduct all nec ssary testing and maintenance on the emergency equipment, remove items <br /> stored in front of the eyewash and fire extinguisher, provide necessary spill control equipment, and <br /> maintain clear access to all Iecontamination and other emergency equipment. <br /> 404. A container of metal gri dings was observed under one of the brake rotor smoothing machine <br /> without a lid in the auto shop. Metal grindings were observed on and around both of the brake rotor <br /> smoothing machines in the uto shop. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times <br /> except when adding or remo ing waste. The metals were moved to a properly closed container at the <br /> time of inspection.
