A truck filler hydrart is located north of the storage bins. A
photograph of the material storage bins and a waste oil AST north of the bins is presented on Figure
10c, Photo No. 5.
Gas House. The gas house was constructed in 1970 and was constructed of similar materials as the
warehouse, office and equipment building. The gas house is serviced with electric power and well
water. The building stores drums of petroleum oils and products, grease, fuses, floor sweep, batteries
and a small pesticide storage container. Two 7,600-lite (2,000-gallon) gasoline and diesel USTs,
dispensers and a pump island were installed in 1970 nort and northeast of the gas house. The USTs I
were removed and replaced by one 7,600-liter (2,000-gallon) diesel AST located west of the gas
house. A photograph of the gas house and diesel AST is presented on Figure 10c,Photo No. 6.
i
Wash Rack. The wash rack is located west of the equ pment building and is a three-part system I
consisting of a separate mud rinse slab, a wash rack slab area with a solids collection interceptor I
trench (grease/sand trap) floor drain, a steam cleaning unit and an oil/water separator discharging
I
directly to the sanitary sewer. The wash rack is serviced y water, electric power and sanitary sewer.
The oil/water separator is located north of the wash rack The mud rinse slab is located south of the
wash rack slab and has a truck filler hydrant for water tiucks. The wash rack was installed in 1970 '
with a 5,600-liter (1,500-gallon) septic tank and leach 1eld.The septic tank and leach field were 1
abandoned in July 1999 with the installation of the new inud rinse concrete slab, oil/water separator
and city sewer connection. The septic tank'and leach field piping were reportedly cleaned and t
removed for disposal. The excavation was backfilled with rock from the leach field. A photograph of
the wash rack and steam cleaner is presented on Fig u 10d, Photo No. 7. A photograph of the
oil/water separator is presented on Figure 10d, Photo No. 8.
Storaue Containers and Shed. Two sealand storage containers, one located on the southwestern
boundary of the Site and one located northwest of the wood storage shed, have been at the Site
approximately five years. The container located on the southwestern boundary is utilized for
i
pesticide storage and the container northwest of the wood storage shed is utilized for spill absorbent
storage. Two hazardous material storage containers are located south of the gas house and are
utilized for self-generated waste. One debris/trash con ainer covered with a portable canopy is
located on the eastern site boundary northeast of the warehouse.
