5
r
AST in August 1996. Mr. Schafer was aware of a se tic tank and leach field that is no longer
utilized. Mr. Schafer indicated that a hydraulic lift is located .in the equipment building and an
oil/water separator is located near the north side of the wash rack area. Mr. Shafer reported that the
hydraulic lift is still in service and has no reported problems.
Mr. Cruz understood that the community park southwest of the Site was designed as a storm water
collection area designed not to flood. Mr. Cruz indicated that the Site was connected to city water
and sewer when the restrooms were remodeled at the Site in the early 1990s. Mr. Cruz further
indicated that the well water is reportedly non-contaminated, however, the well water is only used
for tanker truck filling. Mr. Cruz indicated that he remembers seeing a contractor clean, demolish
and remove the concrete septic tank and leach field in ..999 when the new oil/water separator was
installed. Mr. Cruz was unaware of any storm water drain inlets. Surface water runs off the asphalt
into the low-lying areas surrounding the Site, howev r, most of the runoff is directed to the
south/southwest of the Site, toward the drainage basin.
Project No.58225-06-146 - 1 g- May 25,2001
