Kt tINFELDER <br /> 4 SENSITIVE RECEPTOR SURVEY <br /> Kleinfelder conducted a sensitive receptor survey which included review of records from the <br /> Department of Water Resources (DWR) and PHS/EHD permit records for indications of <br />' potential sensitive receptors within a 2,000 foot search distance of the former underground <br /> storage tank (UST) at the subject site Local water purveyors were also contacted for potential <br /> receptors in this same search distance A physical search for sensitive receptors within a 500-foot <br /> search radius was part of the survey <br /> 4.1 DWR SEARCH AND DISCUSSION <br />' DWR well los were obtained in October 1998 and forwarded to Kleinfelder b Wilbur-Ellis <br /> g y <br /> Company (Appendix F) The well logs were requested for a 2,000-foot search distance from the <br /> former UST Wilbur-Ellis's 1998 DWR request for well logs included a search area including <br /> Township 1 North, Range 6 East, Section 25, the southwest quarter of Section 24 and the eastern <br />' half of Section 26 A total of nine well logs were identified <br /> Additional well logs were obtained by Krazan and Associates (Krazan) from DWR for Wilbur- <br /> Ellis Company for a 1,000-foot search distance Four additional well logs were located by DWR <br /> from Krazan's request <br />' A total of 13 DWR well logs were reviewed Six wells were found within or potentially within <br /> the requested 2,000-foot radius Three of these well logs were monitoring wells located at the <br /> subject site and therefore will not be discussed The remaining three wells and associated data <br /> are summarized in Table 3 and are referenced as arbitrary well number 1, 2 and 6 The <br /> approximate well locations are illustrated on Plate 6 <br /> WELL NUMBER 1 AND 2 <br /> Both wells 1 and 2 are located near the perimeter of the 2,000-foot radius at Valley Tomato <br /> Products Company located east of the subject site It is unknown if these wells actually lie within <br /> the search distance Wells No 1 and 2 were noted as irrigation and municipal wells, <br /> respectively <br /> WELL NUMBER 6 <br />' Well number 6 had a given address of 3267 McKinley Avenue However, the northern most <br /> address noted on McKinley was 4303 (Addresses increased on McKinley towards the south) <br /> Other businesses north of this location had addresses on El Dorado Street, and the well with this <br /> address was not observed The specific location of this well is not known but has been illustrated <br /> on Plate 2 as a possible former location The estimated location of well 6 is cross gradient and <br /> approximately 1200 feet northwest of the former UST <br /> 20-4439-01 E0112000R726 Page 5 of 17 <br /> Copynght 2000 Kkinfelder,Inc October 16,2000 <br />
