The CUF
recommends that the EHD consider the site for closure.
The EHD has been considering this site for closure; a closure report has been received and
reviewed and the site has been discussed as a closure candidate with the Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board representative. The issue currently being addressed is
what the current impact to monitoring well MW-5 is. MW-5 has not been sampled since
Kettleman Lane was widened, putting the well in a high-use travel lane. With this issue
addressed, and anticipating favorable results, the ElID is of the opinion that the site will be
closed.
Questions or comments should be directed to Harlin Knoll at (209) 468-3442 or to Nuel
Henderson at (209)468-3436.
_ Sincerely,
Harlin Knoll, REHS Nuel Henderson, PG
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist Engineering Geologist
Annual 5-Year Review Update Response 2011.doc
