4.3 Severe Weather Contingencies <br /> Severe weather conditions may generate electrical hazards from lightning and possible chemical <br /> exposure hazards from wind shifts. All personnel will be responsible for monitoring weather <br /> conditions, particularly lightning and wind direction. Guidelines for severe weather conditions <br /> are listed in Section 2.2.3. <br /> 4.4 Job Site Cleanup <br /> The Field Manager or his designee is responsible for maintaining job cleanup and safe access at <br /> the job site. The job site will be left in a clean condition at the end of each workday. <br /> 4.5 Public Safety <br /> The Navy Base on Rough and Ready Island has strict perimeter controls. Security at the Base <br /> will be the responsibility of the Navy. During field activities, the specific security techniques <br /> that will be instituted at the job site are as follows: <br /> • The SSHO and the on-site supervisor will have responsibility and authority to refuse <br /> unauthorized representatives from entering the working area; <br /> • Temporary barricades will be used, where feasible, to prevent unauthorized <br /> representatives from entering the work zone. <br /> • The SSHO will secure the site prior to leaving at the end of each working day. When <br /> possible, all equipment and supplies will be secured or stored in locked facilities. <br /> 4.6 Local Safety Requirements <br /> Tetra Tech employees and subcontractors shall comply with all safety and health requirements <br /> (i.e., posted speed limits, no smoking signs, etc.)while working at Rough and Ready Island. <br /> Rough&Ready Island 14 Tetra Tech,Inc. <br /> Revised Draft HSP November 18, 1998 <br />
