5
Subsurface Investigation, Well Installation, and Sample Analyses Results Page 8
Cintra Park Phase II Development,
Tract 2705, Tracy, California
F July 23, 1998 CTE Job No. 20-0445B
FRecords are included in Appendix C. Archive samples not immediately scheduled for analysis were
stored in a refrigerator at the CTE office in Tracy, California.
F
Selected soil samples were also analyzed in the field using a combustible gas indicator(CGI), which
monitored combustible gas concentrations in parts-per-million(ppm). Observed CGI values were
noted on the boring log (Appendix B); no values above 0 ppm were noted on any of the samples
rtested.
F
4.2 Site Geology
FLithologic units underlying the site observed in the recent boring/well installations are generally
Fconsistent with previous reports (Hallenbeck & Associates, 1995; CTE, 1997). Based on these
recent observations, site soils/sediments were divided into three units: 1) engineered fill, 2)
excavation backfill, and 3) Quaternary alluvium (Figures 4 and 5).
r
F4.2.1 Engineered Fill
Engineered fill soils were observed to a depth of approximately five feet in all
boreholes/wells. These soils consisted of silty clay to clayey sand with trace gravel and
Fconcrete chunks. These soils were placed durin grading activities at the site in 1997-1998.
F'"
F C:1TEEL FILFSICINTRA PARKICINTRA7-13.DOC
