Depth to water was measured in all of the wells before the
r
wells were purged for sampling. Water-table elevations are shown in Table 3 and Figure 5.
Petroleum product presence was also measured by applying Kolor Kut petroleum sensing
paste to a portion of water-level indicator tape d then contacting this portion of the tape
with the water-table surface. Petroleum product was not detected in any of the wells.
Following water-table and product measurements, the sampling pump was lowered into the
wells and purging began. Field measurements made during purging consisted of pH,
temperature, and conductivity. These measurements were made using a Hydak portable,
combination pH/conductivity/temperature probe; these measurements were recorded on the
Field Record Form (Appendix C . When measurements had stabilized to within 10/
,
: samples were collected from the pump.
4.5.2 Ma 13, 1998 Sampling
FGroundwater samples were collected from groundwater monitoring wells PMW-1, PMW-2,
and PMW-3 on May 13, 1998. Sampling methodology was the same as the previous (April
8, 1998) sampling with the exception that for the May 13' sampling, following purging,
F41
CATEEL FILESICINTRA PARKICINTRA7-13.DOC
