October 11,2005
NOA Project Number: E05111A
2.2 Aerial Photographs
Aerial photographs depicting the subject property dated 1937, 1952, 1963, 1975 and 1983 were
reviewed at the San Joaquin County Surveyor's Office in Stockton,California'. Two additional photos,
dated 1993 and 2002, were obtained from Microsoft Terraserver, and one 2005 map from Googlemaps.
In the 1937 photo, the subject property appears to be used for agriculture. The eastern section of the
subject property appears to be row crops and the western section appears to be rice. In the northwest
corner of the property is a meandering stream.Agricultural land is apparent on all sides of the subject l
property with one rural residence to the northeast of the subject property.
In the 1952 photo, the topography of the subject property is significantly changed from what appeared
to be mostly flat in the 1937 photo to what appears to be raised berms running north south for rice
farming. The meandering stream in the northwest corner of the subject property still exists. The
immediate vicinity appears relatively unchanged from the previous photo. The property directly south
of the subject property appears to have connecting berms to the subject property.
In the 1963 photo, the subject property appears to have transformed from rice fields to row crops. The
meandering stream in the northwest corner no longer exists. The immediate vicinity appears relatively (Z
unchanged from the previous photo with the exception of the property directly to the south having also
changed from a rice field to row crops.
In the 1975 photo, the subject property appears relatively unchanged with the exception of what appears
to be an agricultural tail-water pond directly in the middle. A few scattered rural residences appear as
well as several similar agricultural tail-water ponds in the middle of other properties. The immediate l
vicinity otherwise remains relatively unchanged from the previous photo.
In the 1983 photo, the subject property and its immediate vicinity appear relatively unchanged from the
previous photo with the exception of what appears to be an irrigation canal directly above the subject
property.
'San Joaquin County Surveyors Office,1810 Hazelton Avenue,Stockton,California.
3 '404
