Ensure that all connections are closed and locked. <br /> This procedure is compliant with 40 CFR 112.8(c)(8)(iii) and 40 CFR 112.12(c)(8)(iii) and therefore <br /> does not require an environmental equivalence determination. <br /> EFFLUENT TREATMENT FACILITIES (40 CFR 112.8(c)(9)) <br /> There are no effluent treatment facilities at the Site. <br /> VISIBLE DISCHARGES (40 CFR 112.8(c)(10)) <br /> Visible discharges which result in a loss of oil from the site tanks (including but not limited to seams, <br /> gaskets,piping,pumps, valves,rivets, and bolts)that are discovered during routine operations and/or <br /> inspections must be promptly corrected. Any accumulation of oil in the containment area must be <br /> promptly removed. <br /> TRANSFER OPERATION, PUMPING AND IN-PLPRWCESSES (40 CFR 112.8(d)) <br /> I <br /> Transfer operations at the facility include transfer of pro ucts to and from each tank,to and from drums, <br /> and transfer of product into customer vehicles. All aboveground pipe supports are properly designed to <br /> minimize abrasion and corrosion and to allow for expansion and contraction and the pipes and valves <br /> are examined monthly by site perso^tssess their conditio . Lines that are not in service or are in <br /> standby for a long period of time med to <br /> 'event m from leaking <br /> BURIED PIPING (40 CFR 112.8(d)(1)) <br /> Buried piping at the facili*consists of piping fro the USTs to the dispenser islands and from the <br /> ASTs to the dispenser islands. All buried piping at the facility is constructed of double walled fiberglass <br /> lines which does not require cathodic protection. If a section of buried line is exposed for any reason, it <br /> must be carefully inspected for damage.
