APP/SSHP <br /> Soil Excavation at California National Guard Armory <br /> Lodi, California <br /> equipment in place will be conducted using a disinfectant solution consisting of no less than the <br /> equivalent of one quarter ('/4) cup of sodium hypochlorite bleach to one (1) gallon of water. <br /> 14.3.3 Medical Treatment <br /> Minor Injuries: In the case of minor injuries, the injured person will be transported by the <br /> designated 1St Aid Responder in a Company vehicle to a clinic as designated by the SHIM. <br /> Major Injuries: For serious or life-threatening injuries, the Emergency Response Service will be <br /> notified immediately by the SSHO. The injured person should be treated for shock and control of <br /> severe bleeding, if necessary, by qualified 1St aid trained personnel. <br /> 14.4 LINES OF COMMUNICATION <br /> 14.4.1 Emergency Response Coordinator <br /> The OTIE SSHO will also be the Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC). He will have <br /> responsibilities for the safety of site personnel and other responders. The ERC will have the <br /> authority to cease any response activity if the safety of responders, site personnel, or the <br /> community is threatened. The ERC's duties will include: <br /> • Maintaining emergency preparedness; <br /> • Performing site inspections and informing subcontractors of work activities and <br /> emergency response plans; <br /> • Coordinating with emergency services prior to and during an emergency response <br /> scenario; and <br /> • Informing OTIE personnel of the site status as per the incident. <br /> Additionally, the ERC or designee will be responsible for coordinating communications with off- <br /> site agencies and personnel once initial notifications have been made. <br /> 14.4.2 Emergency Warning Systems <br /> • Several warning systems will be utilized at the site depending on the work site or <br /> emergency involved; <br /> Verbal communications; <br /> • Radio communications; <br /> Vehicle horns; <br /> • Portable, hand-held, compressed gas horns; and <br /> • Telephone. <br /> If an emergency arises requiring an evacuation, the SSHO, or designated alternate, will sound <br /> the horn. Horn signals will be used to signify an emergency warning as shown in Table 7. <br /> OTIE 44 <br />
