Not all soil samples collectedwere submitted for laboratory analysis.
Field observations, as recorded in the boring logs, and the purpose of the
investigation suggested which samples were appropriate for analysis.

2.2.2 Groundwater Sampling '
Prior to completing the Geo-Probe borin SB-1
g> a groundwater sample was
collected from near the base of the boring. The hollow drill stem rods were
hammered to the desired depth and they 'rods retracted to expose a 3-foot section
of well screen inside of the hollow sampli'n' g ti to the formation. A
p g p groundwater
samples from the Geo-Probe boring was then collected by oscillating a clean j
dedicated section of Teflon tubing fitted with a check valve, which was inserted
i
inside of the hollow stem of the Geo-Probe. Sample material was collected in un-
preserved, Miter amber glass bottles grid in 40 ml glass VOA vials preserved
with hydrochloric acid. Each sample container was then labeled and placed into i
an ice chest chilled to 4°C to await transport to the laboratory under chain of I
custody protocol.
i
1
r
2937 Veneman Ave., #B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
