Brodburne, Briller&Johnson, L9 • Health&Safety Plan <br /> Surface Soil: <br /> Surface Water: ❑ <br /> Subsurface Soil: <br /> Ground Water: <br /> Other ❑ List: <br /> Overview of Scope of Work <br /> The following field activities are planned for the Subject Property: <br /> • Notify the local underground utility locating services (i.e., Underground Service Alert) to identify, <br /> locate and mark underground utilities and/or structures at least 72 hours before initiating field <br /> work; <br /> Oversee the advancement of four soil borings(using direct-push technology)to a depth of 15-feet <br /> below ground surface (bgs) or until ground-water is encountered, or until refusal, whichever is <br /> shallower; <br /> • Oversee the advancement of six soil and ground-water borings(using direct-push technology) to a <br /> depth of 21-feet bgs; <br /> • Oversee the advancement of five surface soil borings(using a shovel)to a depth of three feet bgs; <br /> • Collect soil and ground-water samples from boreholes and characterize soil type; <br /> Submit soil samples under appropriate chain-of-custody to a state-certified laboratory for analysis of <br /> TPH-GRO using United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Method 801513; BTEX <br /> and MTBE by USEPA Method 826013; California Assessment Manuals (CAM) metals using USEPA <br /> Method 6010B/7471A and Titanium; and OC Pesticides by USEPA 8141A; <br /> Submit ground-water samples under appropriate chain-of-custody to a state-certified laboratory for <br /> analysis of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) gasoline range organics (GRO) using United <br /> States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Method 80156; benzene, toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX) and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) by USEPA Method <br /> 82606; <br /> Excess soil obtained during the sampling activities will be returned to the area it was obtained. <br /> NOTE: If excavation of contaminated soil is required at the Subject Property, this Health and Safety <br /> Plan will be modified accordingly. <br /> Personnel Monitoring Procedures <br />
