Bradburn, Briller&Johnson, • Health&Safety Plan <br /> 2.0 PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS <br /> The following sections provide general requirements of BB&J's Heath and Safety Officer(HSO),the project- <br /> specific Field Safety Coordinator(FSC)and the on-site field personnel. <br /> 2.1 Health and Safety Officer <br /> The primary responsibilities for the HSO include the following: <br /> • Develop and implement health and safety policy for BB&J; <br /> • Conduct Health and Safety Audits, including field audits; <br /> • Provide continued health and safety support as needed; <br /> • Project contact for health and safety issues; <br /> • Review and enforce the site-specific HSP;and, <br /> • Review results of Job Hazard Analysis Report (Appendix B) and site-specific Health and Safety <br /> Summary Report(Appendix C). <br /> 2.2 Field Safety Coordinator <br /> The primary responsibilities for the FSC include the following: <br /> • Develop and enforce site-specific HSP; <br /> • On-site supervisor and contact for health and safety during field activities; <br /> • Prior to initiating field work, ensure route to Hospital is correct and accessible (verify route is free <br /> from construction activities and/or roads are not shut down); <br /> • Prior to initiating field work, conduct brief site reconnaissance and become familiar with site <br /> conditions,boundaries,and physical hazards; <br /> • Prior to initiating field work,complete Job Hazard Analysis Report(See Appendix B); <br /> • Prior to initiating field work,determine and designate applicable Work Zones(see Section 3.7); <br /> • Prior to initiating field work,conduct Site Safety Meeting,which will include: <br /> • A verification to ensure workers have appropriate medical and hazardous waste training; <br /> • A brief introduction to on-site personnel and on the contents of this HSP; <br /> • A determination of a meeting spot, located upwind, in case of an emergency evacuation; <br /> • A review of the Job Hazard Analysis Report; <br /> 2 <br />
