Soil samples for analysiswill be collected from the bottom and sidewalls of the <br /> excavation. The estimated amount of contaminated soil to be removed is approximately 1,500 cubic yards. Clean <br /> overburden soil will be kept segregated from contarninated soils- <br /> 2.Destruction by over-drilling of one shallow groundwater monitoring well that is in the area proposed for excavation. <br /> 3.Reinstallation of the shallow groundwater monitoring well following backfill of the excavation." <br /> 4.Trees and utilities (septic system and propane tank)will be removed or relocated,under permit when required,prior <br /> to beginning the remediation. <br /> CO1%LMENTS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1.A plan must be in place for handling groundwater in the excavation,should it be encountered. Anticipated ground <br /> water depth at the time of the excavation is approxirxiately 12.5 feet below surface grade.
