Page 9 <br /> Additional Site Characterization <br /> &4'h Quarter Groundwater Monitoring <br /> Project No. 1030.2 <br /> February 20,2004 <br /> 3.1 Analytical Results <br /> ' SOIL <br /> In summary: <br /> Two soil samples were collected during the installation of each of the ten GeoProbes, two <br /> soil borings and one groundwater-monitoring well and were submitted for laboratory <br /> ' analyses with the following results: <br /> GeoProbe Borings <br /> • GP-1 and GP-3 samples from 7.5 and 11.5 feet bgs show elevated concentrations of all <br /> analyzed constituents except MtBE <br /> • The 11.5 foot bgs soil samples from GP-2, GP-4, GP-5 and GP-6 indicate the presence <br /> of BTEX and TPH-G constituents <br /> o GP-4 has the highest levels of constituents <br /> • The 7.5 foot bgs soil samples from GP-2, GP-4, GP-5 and GP-6 were non-detect for all <br /> analyzed constituents with the following exception <br /> o GP-2 indicated the presence of total xylenes (4.7 ug/Kg) <br /> • All soil samples collected and tested from GP-7, GP-S, GP-9 and GP-10 were non- <br /> detect for all analyzed constituents <br /> Soil Borings <br /> • All analyzed soil samples from both soil borings were non-detect above laboratory <br /> reporting limits for all analyzed constituents <br /> ' Groundwater Monitoring Well <br /> • All analyzed soil samples from the groundwater monitoring well (MW-5) were non- <br /> detect above laboratory reporting limits for all analyzed constituents <br /> GROUNDWATER <br /> Soil Boring Investigation <br /> ' <br /> All groundwater samples collected during the soil boring investigation were non-detect <br /> above laboratory reporting limits for all analyzed constituents <br /> Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Event <br /> ' • MW-1 shows the elevated levels of BTEX and TPH-G constituents and was non-detect <br /> above laboratory reporting limits for all other analyzed constituents <br /> • MW-2, MW-3, MW-101 and the domestic well were non-detect above laboratory <br /> ' reporting limits for all analyzed constituents <br /> • MW-4 indicated the presence of trace levels of some BTEX constituents and was non- <br /> detect above laboratory reporting limits for all other analyzed constituents <br /> 3.2 Geology and Field Observations <br /> ' The following section discusses the subjective field observations and geology documented <br /> during this investigation based on the interpretations of the field geologist. <br />
