r
Given the abgve. scenario, we would like submit the
following plan for the remediation of the referenced site:
1) tWe are submitting a fiscal year 1996/97 budget change
proposal requesting $90, 000 for the removal of the
water tower, underground tank, and all contaminated
soil.
2) As an interim measure, we will install a 50 ft. below
ground surface (bgs) monitoring well located down
gradient from the underground tank to monitor the
potential rise of ground water. Should the ground
water rise above 50 ft. bgs, we will commence quarterly
ground water sampling immediately. We will submit
quarterly reports to your office.
3) Upon receipt of funding by the legislature, we will
- - remove -the-water -tower; underground-tank; and --
contaminated soil after facility closure.
Should you have any questions or comments-, contact Mike
Golden of the DSA Dst and Underground Tank Section at (916) 322-
8994.
Sincerely,
Mike Bean
Chief of Plant Operations III
i
cc: B.
