' Table 4 includes a summary of the groundwater monitoring well completion data for the Jamar
site. Well completion diagrams are in Attachment 5.
4.3 C-SpargeTM Remediation Operation Summary
C-SpargeTM remediation system operating statistics for the period of June 17, 2004 through
' September 30, 2004 are summarized in Table 5. Attachment 1 contains the field data (i.e.,
including pressures maintained at each sparge point and operation data for the system). This
attachment also contains tables summarizing the monthly data and field detail in support of Table
5. The injection rates were assumed to be mid range, approximately, 2.5 SCFM.
' During the month of June 2004, the C-SpargeTM system operated 240.77 hours (i.e., actual hours)
and 2.12 pounds of 03 were injected. This was only, a partial month of operation since the
remediation system was started on June 17, 2004. These results are also the total for the Second
' Quarter 2004.
Respectively, during July, August and September, the C-SpargeTM system operated 536.73,
' 339.19 and 204.97 actual hours. Respectively, 4.73, 2.99 and 1.807 pounds of 03 were injected
during July, August and September 2004. For the Third Quarter 2004 the system was operated
1080.89 hours (i.e., actual hours) and 9.53 pounds of 03 were injected.
Actual operation from system start-up on June 17 to September 30 2004 was 1,321.66 hours.
During this period, 11.66 pounds of 03 were injected. The system was non-operational, which
' includes scheduled non-operation, scheduled maintenance and down time, for 1,210.34 hours
during this period.
' 4.4 Remediation System Monitoring
4.4.1 Objectives of Remediation System Monitoring
The primary objective of the Jamar Property C-SpargeTM operation is to reduce the mass of
' contaminants in the saturated and unsaturated zones in a technically effective but also cost
effective manner. In order to evaluate the reduction of mass, the objectives for monitoring the C-
SpargeTM System at the Jamar property are listed below:
■ Quantification of the volume of 03 injected and injection pressures maintained;
■ Quantification of the system operation time; and
■ The overall effectiveness of the C-SpargeTM remediation system as monitored by two ---
indicators:
1. VOC reduction in individual onsite groundwater monitoring wells based on
laboratory analysis;
2. Dissolved oxygen (DO) field determinations in groundwater grab samples from
individual monitoring wells.
' S:V68231QM reports12004 3QR.doc 7 ATC Associates Inc.
