Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Project# 99-1261 <br /> Proposed AutoZone Site,Manteca.California <br /> February 19, 1999 <br /> Page 7 <br /> Past use of adjacent properties with respect to potential environmental concerns were <br /> assessed based on our research and interviews conducted during the site <br /> reconnaissance. The findings of this investigation indicate the adjacent sites under <br /> went past uses of a type generally similar to their current uses. <br /> IV. RECORDS REVIEW <br /> Standard Environmental Records Search <br /> An environmental records search was conducted on January 28, 1999, to obtain and <br /> review records to help identify recognized environmental concerns on the subject <br /> property. The records search included a review of reasonably ascertainable standard <br /> sources, and alternative sources. The sources reviewed as part of this investigation <br /> included pertinent Federal, State of California, Regional, and Operating Permit <br /> sources. The database record search includes a listing of those sites within an <br /> approximate one mile radius of the site that are identified on one or more of the <br /> database lists. <br /> The results of the environmental records search lists nine (9) sites .within <br /> approximately 1/8 mile radius of the subject property as having environmental <br /> concerns. The nine (9) sites listed in the environmental database within a 1/8 mile <br /> of the subject site are as follows: <br /> i <br /> i <br /> • 123 South Main Street-Jim Turner Inc, Northern "Tire Wheel <br /> This site is listed in the State Underground Storage Tank Database <br /> and in the RCRA Database. The databases reviewed indicated that <br /> two (2) underground storage tanks were removed from the site and <br /> that the site is permitted to generate large quantities of non-acutely <br /> hazardous waste. There were no indications in the databases <br /> reviewed that indicated an unauthorized release originated from this <br /> site. <br /> This site is located on the adjacent property to the north of the subject <br /> site. <br /> • 151 South Main Street - Diamond Lumber Company <br /> This site is listed in the State Underground Storage Tank Database, <br /> the State Leaking underground Storage Tank Database, and in the <br /> CORTESE Database. The databases reviewed indicated that a single <br /> five-hundred gallon underground storage tank containing leaded <br /> gasoline was removed from the site and that an unauthorized release <br /> i of gasoline had occurred on the property. <br />
