Miner Street
Stockton, CA
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the "Third
Quarter 2009 Groundwater Monitoring Report' dated March 25, 2009, prepared by ARCADIS
for the above subject site. The EHD recommends further reductions in groundwater sampling
for this site. The EHD directs that groundwater samples be collected and analyzed quarterly
from monitoring wells MW3, MW12, MW13, MW17, MW19, MW20, MW21, NP1-22, NPI-65,
NP2-22 and N132-60. All other site monitoring wells are to have groundwater samples collected
from them and analyzed annually. Analysis for TPH-GRO and BTEX should be performed on
all water samples. Analysis for 1,2-DCA shall be performed on all water samples from MW3,
MW12, MW21 and NP1-22.
In a letter dated December 1, 2008, the EHD agreed that monitoring well U26 should be located
and destroyed. To date there has been no work plan or well permit application for destruction
with permit fees submitted to the EHD. This well has not been accessed for two years. A work
plan, well permit destruction application and fees should be submitted to the EHD by July 1,
2009. Application to the City of Stockton for an encroachment permit should be submitted by
June 1, 2009.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (209) 468-3449.
Margaret Lagorio, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: Jim Barton, CVRWQCB
David Evans, ARCADIS, 950 Glenn Drive Ste 125, Folsom, CA, 95630
