30 November 1998
AGE-NC Project No. 98-0520
t control (QA/QC)reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report
with the findings and recommendations.
2.4.3. Monitoring Well Installation and Development
' Following completion of the monitoring well borings, two-inch diameter monitoring wells will be
installed in each of the borings. The ground water monitoring wells will consist of 15 feet of well
screen section. The well screen section will be installed across the observed water table level with,
' five feet of screen section extending above the water level and ten feet of screen section extending
below the water table level. Based on ground water table level, it is anticipated that the total depth
of the monitoring wells will be approximately 30 feet bsg.
Following well installation, the wells will be developed in order to maximize water flow into the
' well 'and minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during sampling
activities. Field procedures for monitoring well.installation and development are presented in
Sections 3.4 and 3.5, respectively.
Additionally, ground water monitoring well locations will be surveyed following well installation.
' 2.4.4. Ground Water Sample Collection and Analysis
p Y
Following installation and development of the monitoring wells, one ground water monitoring and
' sampling event will be conducted at the site. Ground water samples will be collected from the
proposed monitoring wells and submitted for laboratory analysis. Ground water samples will be
' analyzed for BTEX, TPH-g, and oxygenating compounds following the protocols presented in
Section 3.4.2. Additionally, monitoring activities will include recording depth to ground water
measurements. Ground water sample collection procedures are described in Section 3.6.
2.5. REPORT PREPARATION
Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared
presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work
' performed and results of the sampling and analysis. Conclusions and applicable recommendations
will be included in the report. The report will be in a format acceptable to the PHS-EHD and the
' CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist.
Advanced GeoEnvironment2i Inc.
1
