• pathways to groundwater MARK replaced these wells with four new monitoring wells and has <br /> commenced a quarterly monitoring and sampling program. Groundwater impacts have decreased <br /> an order-of-magnitude since source removal (USTs, piping, and impacted soils). <br /> Based upon the findings of this investigation and the existing site conditions,-MARK <br /> recommends that the site receive closure with respect to soil conditions. Further soil <br /> investigation or remediation is neither warranted nor recommended. <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbons detected in the groundwater appear to be limited to the area <br /> around monitoring well MW-2 and contained to the SSA site. To further reduce petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons found in the groundwater, MARK has installed a groundwater remediation system <br /> and start-up of the system has commenced. <br /> MARK recommends that quarterly monitoring of wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, and <br /> MW-4 be continued during the course of groundwater treatment At which time the necessity <br /> to continue groundwater monitoring will be re-evaluated. <br /> FASCLOSE SUM E-2 92-1177102.36 <br />
